INFORMATION

With recent remodeling and changes in occupancy, studios are available on the first, second and third floor at Sugar Creek Art Center. Currently, we have availability on the third floor only. Our elevator, installed in 2016, offers easy access to the second-floor studios and gallery, and third floor studios.

​

Presently, we have a variety of resident artists utilizing Studio Spaces on all three floors. We also maintain a Gift Shop on the first floor filled with pieces created by both resident and non-resident artists. The Gift Shop on 1 is used to sell curated arts and crafts on a “buy-and-take” basis. The Wright Gallery on 2 and the Event Room on the first floor will continue as venues for one-man and group exhibitions as well as shows and events. The Sugar Creek Art Center has been in operation since 2005 and we work only on a volunteer basis as a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization.

Sugar Creek Art Center is located 1 block south of SR 47 on South Pearl Street in Thorntown, Indiana, making it easily accessible for many surrounding urban as well as rural communities. Free parking is available. A short drive saves you a lot of money when you compare rental rates for different studio venues, particularly in urban areas.

PRICING

​

Different studios are available and categorized small to large depending on their size. Prices are based on square footage. A deposit equivalent to one month’s rent is required upon signing a contract at the start of your rental. Rent is due at the beginning of each month.
